slippage & price impact

what is slippage?

Slippage is the difference between the expected price and the actual execution price of your swap. In a deep pool with lots of liquidity, slippage is tiny (under 0.1%). In a shallow pool, even small trades can move the price 1%+ — that's the cost of being a price-mover.
